The V LALI FORUM with theme LANDSCAPE from REGIONAL to LOCAL WORLD will be held on October 24 at the Convention Center of the City of Knowledge from 8 am to 6 pm. The aim will be to create a space for reflection on the progress of the Latin American Landscape Initiative in its strategic plan, its clusters, projects, and the opportunities and challenges presented by the Landscape Charters; also collaborations between the Canadian Landscape Charter CLC and the new Central America and the Caribbean Landscape Charter. We will foresee means to implement the regional project "Towards a Latin American Landscape Convention" with the examination of the second draft.

During the afternoon LALI reached the local world. Assisted with the experience of the Landscape Observatory of Catalonia, we will have an international workshop “Landscape and the Local World”. The local scale is the most immediate one, the closest one to managing everyday landscapes. We have started to see the landscape as a driving force behind the development of the territories. With this in mind LALI, the Landscape Observatory of Catalonia, in collaboration with RAP and CP&P, would like to recognize landscape planning tools, principles and experiences in the local area through successful case studies, applicable or adaptable, at various levels (district, municipality, supra-municipal ...) initiatives or projects in Latin America, that aim to safeguard, improvement, management and design the landscape at the local level.
