We have the privilege to be hosted by the City of Knowledge Foundation in what is today an exemplary sustainable and innovative campus leading the way of what Panamanians envision as the Sustainable City of the Future.

Strategically located across from the Panama Canal, at just a few minutes from downtown Panama City, City of Knowledge is grounded in the history of some 120 hectares and more than 200 buildings of what was once the Clayton military base. In the year 2000 after the end of the process of transferring the Canal and surrounded military and civilian areas, the need to convert some of this spaces into areas aimed at human development, led to transform the once military planned campus  into what is now home to a booming international community established for the purpose of campus business, academic, scientific, and humanistic collaboration. The objective is human and sustainable development based on knowledge. A campus perfect to experience our Conference theme From Cities to Landscape: Design for Health and Biodiversity.

Designed for an International Community, The City of Knowledge is a unique experience that offers an environment in which to live, as well as all of the services that are typical of any community. While the Convention Center will be the main venue for the Conference activities, the participants will be able to enjoy the recreational, and cultural services, as well as the rich landscape of the campus. The Plaza at walking distance, with an array of restaurants and cafés is the meeting point of the campus and an example of a sustainable building.
